11th Board Meeting 04/10/2008

Everyone is encouraged to attend the EWB-hosted lecture on Monday at 7:30 on the Future of Agriculture.  You should also flyer on Sunday/Monday--flyers are available in the office.

 

Izaak is in charge of organizing the barcrawl.  Suggestions for barcrawl designs are encouraged, preferably non-event specific (aka we can use them as our general organization T-shirt)

 

The 2nd annual 5k will take place Saturday the 19th at the Arboretum.  Karen and Jason are taking care of food, but you can help out at the event.  Just show up by 9:00 AM.  If you're running registration is $15 ($13?) and can be given to Paul B.

 

Due to the increasing number of purchases being made by members for EWB purposes, reimbursements over $100 must henceforth be pre-approved at a board meeting.

 

A discussion over the fate of the Orissa project ended without conclusion, but it was decided that former members of the Orissa team will be consulted, and hopefully they will attend the next board meeting to join us in deliberation.

 

We're approaching the end of semester 1 with the current elected executive board, and it seems an appropriate time to evaluate the EWB system of operation.  Therefore, problems with the system as evaluated by our board members were assembled in list format, as seen below.  The items listed with a number were identified as the major shortcomings that could be overcome by reforms enacted by the executive board.  You were assigned a number.  Bring 5 suggestions to next week's board meeting.
