The Student Sustainability Committee is soliciting applications to appropriate the $2 Clean Energy Technology Fee and the $5 Sustainability Fee. Submit your ideas! All campus groups (students, faculty, staff, etc) are eligible to apply.
Current projects supported in part by the fee:
- Large-scale wind turbines to be placed on the South Farms
- UIUC Biodiesel Initiative -- converting waste vegetable oil to campus biodiesel
- Union Audit and retrofits
- Ethanol tank for campus garage
- Lighting retrofits for the Waste Management Research Center
- Solar panels and green roof for Business Instructional Facility
