We need to make a template for project posters that will be sent to the international conference. Laura, Karen, and Suhail were appointed to work on it. It should be done by early this week, so that project leaders will be able to finalize their posters by March 24th. Engineering Council (www.ec.uiuc.edu/apply/) and the Student Sustainability Committee (aka Student Clean Energy Committee, www.vcsa.uiuc.edu/campuscommittees/ ) are taking applications for board members for next year. The links will take you to applications. We'd like at least a little representation on these committees. The Student Sustainability Committee is a great place to make a difference. They get loads of money from their fees, but need more people to find the best ways to spend it. Applications are due March 28th. Work on memorizing EWB's mission. Everyone failed this week's quiz. There was a lot of talk on recruitment methods. Suhail created a forum on the website to discuss solutions.

Way to go David!
Project Focus - There is a practice talk this Sunday in 112 Eng Hall for our upcoming Project Focus. You can come and criticize their presentation.
$50,000 Challenge - The results are out. We barely eeked out ninth place with 48 donations, but we got dem Bennies ($1,000). We were only outdonated by 4 universities: Northern Arizona University (they definitely cheated), Michigan Tech (if you've been to a regional or international conference, you know why), Arizona, and UMass. Be sure to thank everyone you know who donated.
EOH - If anyone knows where we can borrow some thermal goggles, that'd be sweet. They are too expensive to rent. Also, e-mail Patrick if you want an EOH T-shirt for $4.
We need volunteers to help out at EOH (not for our project). E-mail Amanda if you can work an hour or two during EOH.
As the student chapter of Engineers Without Borders at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, we have an unparalleled number of parent and sister/affiliate organizations whom we collaborate with.
We strongly encourage our projects to get support from affiliates. Project leaders should contact board members to set this up.
