EPA hosts the Annual P3 (People, Prosperity, and the Planet) Award competition. EPA and its 40 partners launched the P3 Award in 2004 to respond to the challenges of the developed and developing world in moving toward sustainability. This national competition enables college students to research, develop and design scientific, technical and policy solutions to sustainability challenges. Their designs are helping to achieve the mutual goals of economic prosperity while providing a higher quality of life and protecting the planet. Students and their faculty advisors compete for EPA's P3 Award and the opportunity of up to an additional $75,000 in funding to move their designs to the marketplace or implement them in the field.

Engineers Without Borders at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is unique in coordinating a wide array of international projects while sharing ideas about sustainability with the community surrounding it. Any donations to the organization are greatly appreciated. Donations can be given to individual projects or to our general fund that all projects use.
If you are interested in making a tax-exempt donation to EWB-UIUC or one of our projects, please donate now. Thank you.
If you are interested in sponsoring one of our projects, email questions to our treasurer, Paul Crutcher, at paul [dot] crutcher11 [at] gmail [dot] com.
Since for some projects donations alone cannot support the projects, we encourage project leaders to seek out grants that they can apply to for additional funding.
We'd like to release the results of the fundraiser held last month where EWB asked everyone to donate to their local chapter with the added bonus of earning grants for those who received the most donations. This past week, EWB-USA announced that it is officially one of the winners of the $50,000 Challenge, and our chapter succeeded in raising 48 donations, earning us a $1,000 grant on top of what you donated! This is a momentous occasion for everyone in Engineers without Borders across the country and especially for our chapter. Combined with our also very successful banquet and auction held last week, we've already almost reached our fundraising goal for the year. Thanks to everyone for making these fundraisers such a success.
